Casablanca Weddings

Casablanca a classical, colonial safari venue is situated in the east of Pretoria, on the old Bronkhorstspruit Road (R104), next to the N4 Witbank highway, just past the Donkerhoek/Boschkop turnoff. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes drive from Pretoria, it is a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is easily accessible via the N4 highway from Pretoria, Pretoria North, as well as Kempton Park, the airport and Johannesburg. This truly unique wedding venue residing on 8 hectares of majestic thorn trees, bushveld and countryside is framed by an exquisite backdrop of spectacular sunsets, timeless style and character.

Glynis Ruth Chapel - this quaint white chapel with its Colonial architecture and white pillars is set against the backdrop of the spectacular African bushveld and rolling hills of the eastern Magaliesburg Mountain Range.  The chapel with its old church bell that announces the arrival of the bride is nestled amongst thorn trees and indigenous bush, and seats up to 250 people. Adjacent to the chapel, the formal Colonial garden with its tranquil fountains creates the perfect intimate setting to rejoice with your guests and declare your love.

Country Garden Weddings - a draped gazebo, embraced by thorn trees and indigenous bush and framed with a lush green lawn is available for garden weddings and is set up according to your own personal style and taste, with a red carpet, aisle stands, confetti bowl, and podium. A stationary wrought iron Cinderella Coach provides the perfect backdrop for a registry table.

InniDam - Walk out onto a red walkway and podium that is framed with a magnificent gazebo on white pillars, with the cascading sounds of the fountains, into the middle of the dam, to meet your groom. Declare your love whilst your guests seated around the dam amidst aloes and the tranquil sounds of the bushveld, look on and rejoice with you.


Forest Walkway - after your joyous ceremony, your guests follow the scattered rose petal pathway through a canopy of indigenous trees into the cosy, intimate garden where reception drinks such as sherry, iced tea, home-made ginger beer and fruit juice is served. Snack platters and the signature Casablancan Cocktail can also be served here. This garden is lit up at night with fairy lights, and lanterns, creating a dreamy atmosphere where romance prevails.

Your celebration continues in the Old Manor House Reception Venue which opens up onto the enclosed Old Colonial Stoep. The unique old-world charm and character of the venue complete with its baby grand piano in the lounge area provides a grande welcoming entrance for your guests to start the joyous celebrations. The venue overlooking the dam, the valley and the spectacular bushveld comes complete with draping and fairy lights in the reception hall area. Here your wondrous celebration starts set against the most beautiful sunsets imaginable. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests but the lounge and stoep areas are ideal for smaller, more intimate weddings. The venue lends itself to be decorated to any style and décor as required, from contemporary to classical, from formal to informal.  During winter months sizzling hot fireplaces and gas heaters add a special spark of romance and warmth to your wedding day, making it cosy, intimate and warm.

Humphrey Bogart Bar - the fully stocked bar facility is available with a choice of cash bar, open bar or limited bar. Opposite it, is the Ingrid Bergman Coffee Bar, reminiscent of the Casablanca Movie, the love story of all time - this is a coffee lover’s dream!  Cappuccinos, lattes, alcoholic coffees and Moroccan Mint Tea can be served here with our own lavender infused shortbread! This bar flows into the Moroccan Stoep.

- award winning chef Kobus Vermaak and his team of chefs will provide you with innovative cuisine from sumptuous buffets to signature plated dishes that will tantalise the taste buds of your guests. Cuisine ranges from traditional South Africa splendor to the rich flavorsome infusions of Moroccan cuisine from the city of Casablanca. Chefs Kobus and Taryn-lee studied and were trained in the flavours of this cuisine under the famous Moroccan chef Mostapha who cooked for Morocco’s Royal Family.

Honeymoon suite - is available on site, with a Jacuzzi and fireplace in a unique setting. This is included as a gift from us, with a warm breakfast served on your own private stoep overlooking the bushveld, lawns and swimming pool the following morning. The honeymoon suite facility was awarded the SABIA 2009 Gold Award for the best first night honeymoon in South Africa! A dressing room for the bride is also available on the morning of the wedding.

Making Memories - there are ample photographic settings and opportunities on this beautiful country estate, from bushveld, majestical thorn and indigenous trees to lush gardens, fountains and gazebos.

In addition, within 2 minutes there is accommodation for up to 100 guests. Available on request.

We also have a team of reputable service providers that you can make use of that will assist you with your dream dress, wedding attire, and finalizing your marriage contract. Since we know how busy our bridal couples are, we also provide you with a Casablanca Wedding Planner on CD, complete with planning and budget templates, that will take you through all the planning steps in order to plan a wedding together for more joy and less stress!

Function co-ordination is offered as an included service to you on your wedding day, so that you can focus on celebrating your love!

During winter months gas heaters and sizzling hot fireplaces add a special spark of romance and warmth to your wedding day.The venue is draped and comes complete with fairy lights.
